Prior joining SABIC, worked at Heavy industrial sector and established his personal business. Joined SABIC in 2001 as Inspection engineer then moved to Human Resources as Academic Advisor . 2009 Nominated as Educational Programs Manager for KSA, China and Japan undergraduate students. In addition to mange Master and PHD global program. In the last 10 years, he delivered many programs to develop Saudi youth in KSA and US.

Amir joined SABIC Scholarship Program in 2012 as a Senior Academic Advisor. He advised undergraduate, graduate and Foundation year students. He also led the foundation year program and was a Curriculum Specialist. Prior to joining SABIC, Amir was in charge of the academic operations (undergraduate and graduate studies), accreditation, graduate and undergraduate transfer application admission, and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in the department of Civil Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh for 10 years. He also worked as a Researcher at the University of Minnesota for 3 years and a Consultant at 3M for 2 years. Amir is MS and Ph.D. degree holder in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
